Hobie Resonator Guitars: Reviews and Accolades

Whenever I see a new or different instrument builder that I am not already familiar with, I have to try them out to see if they have  what it takes to hang with big boys. With the competition of so many different builders these days if hard to pick who's got the best looks or the best sound or both, but I can honestly say that I have been impressed with the "Hobie" resophonic guitars right from the get-go. The sound that they produce gives the best worlds. The deep bottom end brings the traditional "Josh" sound to life while the upper end cuts like a knife through best of the killer banjos giving you the more bluesier and modern "Rob Ikes" and "Jerry Douglas" style sounds. These dobros really can get the job done. Hobart uses some of the finest woods and finishes I've seen on any professional instrument. Being a builder myself for several years I have learned what to look for when it comes to quality and am very peticular especially when it comes to the sound, and the "Hobie" dobros are truly up to my standards. I would highly recomend them to any one looking for a great dobro  that will last them for many, many years to come.
